Production of ALTAY-45 winter diesel fuel started in Kazakhstan

The Atyrau Refinery, a subsidiary of JSC NC KazMunayGas, produced the first batch of Altay-45 winter diesel fuel with a freezing temperature of minus 45C. Diesel fuel of the DT-A-K5 Altay-45 brand, manufactured according to ST TOO 403 19154-38-2020, was released at the Prime D 3205 diesel hydrotreating unit of the deep oil refining complex. The new product meets the environmental requirements of Class K5. The minimum sulfur content and the absence of additives that improve low-temperature properties make the product correspond to the quality of Arctic diesel fuel. It should be noted that the Atyrau Refinery has become the country's first enterprise for the production of fuel with a record low freezing point. The first batch of new diesel fuel was produced in a small volume to cover the demand in the domestic market. In the future, as demand increases, the volume of shipment of Altay-45 diesel fuel will be increased. Recall that in 2019, the production of the lowest-temperature diesel fuel in Kazakhstan, Khazar-38, was started at ANPZ LLP at that time. Thus, with the start of production of Altay-45, the plant continued the line of frost-resistant diesel products with low filterability temperatures. The production of high-quality low-temperature types of diesel fuel became possible after the commissioning of new installations built as part of the three-stage modernization of the ANPZ.
